Poker Guide from A to Z
After understanding what poker is, continue to follow PeryaGame ‘s poker playing instructions.
Basic Rules
You will have to choose a card to show up and keep 1 hole card (face down card) that only you know. In the next 3 rounds, starting with the person who owns the highest face up card, those who have not given up will receive 1 more face up card and each person takes turns betting.
After the fourth round of betting, the hole cards are turned over, and all players compare their cards. Whoever has the highest hand wins.
Player’s Choice
In each round, when it is your turn, you will have 4 options as follows:
- Fold: Give up the current hand (if you have a weak hand). The person who chooses to fold only loses the amount of money bet in previous rounds.
- Call: means to continue playing, if someone bets before, you must add more money to the pot equal to the amount the previous player bet.
- Raise: includes both “Calling” and adding more money to the pot (additional money is limited to 1 – 20 times the table bet).
- All in: Put all your money in the pot.
The round ends when there is only one player left to play or when no one else chooses to raise.
Sets in a poker game
A poker hand consists of 5 cards, divided into many types. Arranged from high to low in the poker playing instructions as follows:
- Straight Flush: means 5 cards of the same suit in a row
- Four of a kind: means 4 cards of the same number and 1 random trash card.
- Full House: 3 cards of the same number, and the remaining 2 cards are also of the same number.
- Flush: 5 cards of the same suit
- Straight: 5 cards that form a consecutive sequence.
- Three of a kind: a hand containing three cards of the same kind.
- Beast: a hand containing 2 pairs, 2 pairs of cards of the same number (Example: 3 of clubs, 3 of spades, 5 of diamonds, 5 of hearts)
- Pair: a hand containing a pair of cards of the same number (Example: Queen of Hearts, Queen of Spades)
- Mau Thau: is a card with nothing special
When comparing two sets of cards, the type of cards is compared first (Flush, Straight or High Hand, etc.). The card with the better type wins. In the case of two hands of the same type, the number of cards in the structure of the type is compared first.
The trash cards in the set (if any) will be compared in the following order: 7 < 8 < … < K < A. In the case of 2 sets of cards of the same type and identical numbers, we will compare the card suits, in order from high to low as follows: Spades > Hearts > Diamonds > Clubs.

Tips to guess your opponent’s cards
To guess what your opponent’s cards are, we must first know about them by observing their expressions and how they play. Are they a cautious or careless player? Or do they have a habit of betting more even when they haven’t dealt enough cards?…
The most important moment for you to observe your opponent is when a “dangerous” card appears in the game. That is, a card that can create a type of card that can ambush you. The change in your opponent’s attitude or playing style, when this card appears, is very meaningful for predicting your opponent’s cards.
However, for new players, it will be very difficult to predict their cards because we do not know their playing style. But we can take advantage of their ignorance in poker to win instead of rushing in and trying to guess their cards.
Use strength to fight weakness.
This is the safest technique that Poker players often use. When their hand is very strong, they will intentionally hide their cards by calling or betting very small and then gradually increase the bet. Then, they suddenly beat their opponent in a bet.
